Questions
Common questions
A short set of answers to the questions companies ask most often before they bring their work into Cogniquix. If your question is not here, the contact page will reach a person.
Getting started
Setup and access
How does a company begin?
An administrator creates your company's workspace and invites the first colleagues, giving each one a role. A single team brings a live project across and uses it for real work. Most companies are running comfortably within their first week, without a lengthy set-up project.
Is anything required on a colleague's own device?
No. Cogniquix is a hosted workspace, reached through a web browser like any other work site. There is nothing to look after on an individual machine, and nothing to keep in step across the team.
Can we start with just one part of the workspace?
Yes. Each of the four pillars works on its own, so a team can begin with the one that helps most and add the others when they are ready.
Working
Everyday use
How do assistants behave?
Assistants propose; people decide. A summary, a draft or a suggestion is shown for review, and nothing is sent or changed until a colleague confirms it. Administrators can switch any assistant off for the whole company.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You can request an export of your company's data at any time, and you can ask for it to be removed when you go. Our Privacy Policy sets out the detail, and we never sell customer data.
Do conversations and projects stay connected?
Yes. Because they share one workspace, a discussion can be promoted into a task, and a decision note can sit next to the project it shaped.
Practicalities
Teams, roles and change
How large a company does this suit?
Cogniquix is designed for small and mid-sized companies, from a few dozen to a few hundred people. The who-we-serve page describes the fit in more detail.
Can different teams keep their spaces private?
Yes. Teams can keep their own spaces private, open a project to specific people, and share company-wide notices with everyone. Access follows the role an administrator grants.
How is pricing organised?
Plans are billed simply per person, each month, with the detail set out on the plans page. If you are unsure which plan suits your team, write to us and we will suggest a sensible starting point.
Still curious
Ask us directly
We know that a page of answers can only go so far. If your question concerns your own company — its teams, its rhythm, its habits — the quickest path is a short conversation. Send a note through the contact page, and someone who knows the workspace well will reply and help you decide whether it is a good fit.
More questions
A few practical ones
Do colleagues need training to use it?
Very little. The workspace is deliberately plain, and most people are comfortable within a day. Guided notes cover the four pillars, and the pattern of projects, conversations, timekeeping and people is the same throughout.
Can we bring existing work across?
Yes. A team can move a live project across and continue it in the workspace, and an administrator can bring in the people who need access at the same time.
How do we keep our spaces tidy?
Archive finished work rather than deleting it, and keep channels few. A short tidy every few weeks keeps the everyday view calm, and archived work stays available when someone needs it.
